This year I kept some rough stats on my fishing outings just to see how things ended up. Here are the results:

Days fished: 38
Species caught: 13
Total fish caught: 79
Species caught most: tie - Trout and Striped Bass

I didn't separate out my different rockfish and trout so my species total was probably closer to 17 or 18

Blame Mark for the big lists    I never keep track of numbers of "incidental" fish. Lucky to live in an area with an abundance and variety. Always cool to get a new or exotic fush species.

Wow, impressed. As for me, I've caught ZERO of all of the species mentioned above.

If we count mullet in a cast net I've caught hundreds of fish this year
