Well what collectors don't have some kind of a crazy quirk? Here is some of my transparent reels (quirk) . This is something I have loved in my collection. They are just beautiful to me.
Here are some of the names

Very cool. I believe there's a clear-sided newell out there if you want a unicorn to chase down to complete your collection. Also some clear-sided pfleugers out there but those were display models sent to tackle shops, not production models.
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.

Add my name to the list!!!  Sounds like the West Coast is a bit slower then the midWest!!!!

I've NVR heard of clear plastic reels, except for a sales demo or rep's reel for presentations.

I did think of my childhood Duncun Yo YO!!!!!  I picked the color ORANGE when I was in 5th grade.

Nice collection!! I need to get back to my "build a clear 49" project!
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !
