Of late, I've taken to fixing basket case Penn reels . Currently, I have a squidder that I've fixed up and it runs well but the eccentric plunger for the anti-reverse lever is worn down/ stuck ie. doesn't spring up / down like it should.

It appears to be held in by some sort of press fit collar . How do I get the old part out ie. I'm assuming I would have to somehow remove the chrome trim first but not sure what that entails . Or maybe there is an easier way. I have a new plunger and spring .

None of this affects operation, as I disabled the eccentric  by installing it so it never nudges the dog and anti reverse always works  ... but I'd still like to know .

That apart, I'm digging the wailing sound from the plastic spool . Retrieving the line is another matter .. slow as molasses
