I am going to put new washers in a Tyrno 8 and a Penn 975 and I was wanting to know how mush grease I should put on my drag washers? Also can I use Cals grease on the bearings?

Fishnit

Okay I should have looked a little deeper into the forum  ::) . I see some post on how much grease to apply to the drag washer.
Still not sure on using Cals on the bearings  :-\

I use yamalube or super lube or corrosion X on bearings not cals .... it's to expensive for that. It works though.

Yeah, to follow up on Todd's remark, you CAN use Cal's on bearings, gears, etc as appropriate, and it will work just fine.  BUT - if you are doing a LOT of reels (last time I talked to Todd I think he was partway through 4 milk crates of charter reels) then it is more cost efficient to limit Cal's to the drags only, and use another quality grease for the rest.  However, if you only do a couple reels a year, and don't want to invest in a smorgasbord of lubricants, there is certainly nothing wrong with only using the Cal's. - john
