Here's what I'm planning on bringing

Fathom 15lxnd2/pch801h = 25/30# bait
Mak10/UC Monster = 40# bait
Mak 15t/UC GP Predator = 50/60# bait, stealth daytime jigs
Fathom 40nld2/pch741xxh = 80# daytime jigs, sinker rig
Mak16/pch741xxxh = 100# knife jigs, eddie bombs, sinker rig
Mak20/UC viper = 100# knife jigs, eddie bombs, troller
Saragosa 10,000/ Black Hole 801h Challenger Bank = surface irons, poppers, swimbaits
Gold Trini16/90J = surface irons

Not sure if I'll bring the following:

Fathom 25nld2/TR Elevate = spj for yellowtail and tuna

Bill B

Just missing a troll rig.
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Crab Pot

Buy it nice or buy it twice.

Looks like what you have should cover all bases, the Mak16/PCH741XXXH combo can be your trolling rig.

This is only my opinion, the FTH and TRQ are great 60# reels but marginal for 80#.  They can be pushed that hard but 80# is pushing the limit for them.  However, I have seen more than a few plus size tuna caught on them.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Either the Mak 16 or 20 could be a troll rig.

My usual trolling rig is a International VISX16 or VISX20 on a Seeker 2x4.

VISX20 on a 80-130 custom tied United Composits rod is my dual purpose set up.

Night time cow jigging and on the move troll rig.

I also used it a kite rig two years ago.

Trolling: you aren't fishing if you don't have a line out!

My Mak 20SEA is the troller...I bought it used and the previous owner had the trolling lugs installed but haven't removed them because I don't have the blanks to fill in the slots

Made up a couple flat line systems to use while trolling since the SOA has a solid stern rail with 45°rod holders.  They'll attack to the harness lugs on the reel and can be unclipped quickly after hook up.

I made a short and long one to see which one sets up better.  I think for under $10 in supplies it'll be a good investment...

Keta

How much pressure can you set the releases for?  I tried AFTCO Roller Trollers and they did not work for Marauders at wahoo speed.

I have no idea actually but I doubt we'll be moving at wahoo speed. The were sold as outrigger breakaways so I'm assuming the could handle fast speeds but who knows...

The tension knob tightens a lot so they might work for that.

I'm only planning on trolling a cedar plug and trying out this yozuri high speed vibe...

Keta

I have the same releases for downriggers.  They should work for cedar plugs.

A friend gave me 2-Yo-Zuri swim baits, sinkers, 2.2 oz, at 5", maybe a good surf/rock casting lure. Should get way out there. I like this companies stuff; relatively inexpensive and having a through-wire system.

How do the "flat line systems" work and what do they do? Looking at it I can't figure it out.
