I just swapped from hybrid ceramics to surprisingly cheap full ceramic on a whim. There's still so much juice left to squeeze from this orange. Hand spun. Magnet backed all the way out.

Update on these after 2 attempts at surf casting. Reel won't give more than 30 seconds freespool now after a good flushing. I didn't time before flushing but it was bad. Opened it up and these white ceramic bearings have rust-colored stains on the retainers and even after a serious flushing won't spin anywhere near what they used to do.

Weird. And pretty disappointing. But then I didn't pay much for them.

I've had regular SS bearings in one reel and full ceramics in another. Both
Newell g332 on the same rod throwing the same jig for 8 or 9 trips this season. I can't tell any difference except the ceramics make more noise
Do what you can with that you have where you are

Ceramic balls, ceramic race, steel retainer? Huh. I can't remember what's inside the "ceramics" I installed in a couple of reels.

Newell's are supposed to have noisy bearings, it's a trademarked sound!
