I wasn't sure where to put this so here goes.I got this 402 w/PUM from
Jason,from Keith.I mounted it on a surf rod that I just replaced my 1st guide on ever.The line is special braid from Hawaii.My plan is to go to the 1 mile pier in Fernandina with the 402 & my Jiggy 501.My wife will drop me off at the pier
While she goes to TJ Max to look for deals,she is thrifty...no deal,no buy for her I am blessed to say the least...
I will have a cooler,bait,kippers,bbq beenie weenies,hot sauce,& saltines.They aint got a chance ! :fish

Best advice I can give is have a variety of bait. And large live shrimp needs to be in the lineup.

You've gotten a lot of great advice leading into this trip. We're all invested now!
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.

1-mile pier. I recommend a cart with a beach chair and an umbrella(maybe attachable to said chair), plenty of liquid refreshment, etc. I bought one of those green ones from Costco, works great for the beach.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

When I fish on Jetty or somewhere that I have to walk far I bring my fishing cart . I built this out of allum from scrap metal ,wheels from Harbor Freight and the front swivel from boat seat .I made it fit inside the trunk of my Cadillac . It can carry 3 coolers or 2 coolers and my tackle box .Now my caddy broke,have a hard time to fit in the SUV so I have to use truck

My 1st time using a PUM while stringing it up, me likes!!!

I slathered the 402 with super lube
 & Lucas reel oil.Its slick,Keith
added ht-100 washers pretty nice reel.

I haven't opened a single reel of his that didn't have carbon drags already installed. The consistency is almost inspiring.

Gorilla cart is good not to heavy and plastic reduce contact with salt water  ,I saw lots of folk used it on Jetty and most of them make a rods rack attack to it ,they also change to flat free wheel with better bearings that have seal
