George, Bellviles not the factory Penn wavy washers put () under the star.  The drags that akfish put in are smooth and I'm very happy with my latest 349....even though I didn't get to "fix" it myself.

andrew, I get over size washers from Smooth drag and resize them to fit like Justin posted but I use a bench mounted belt sander.
