Who doesn't love a good sub 2FOR1299?

I sent this to Subway today,I am sure it will change the Subworld ::)

"I have noticed recently you try to skimp on ingredients on your deals & double protein isn't really what you get. Also, since covid the tip option pops up.Why would I tip someone to do the job they are getting paid for?
They aren't waiting on me,refilling my glass like a waitress.I tip 20% most of the time at a restaurant that has service. It seems my sandwich experience is based on my tip.Today I got the 2FOR1299 deal & it was pitiful,it appeared like the ingredients for one sandwich were distributed on 2.I could have bought $12.99 of lunch meat, cheese, etc. & bread to eat for 3 meals,it's ridiculous !!! If I had paid $26 for that I would really feel ripped
off.It was like a bread sandwich literally"

I guess the skinny guy made the sandwiches today Wayne...

Just a guess, but saving $ by using cheap/unhealthy, but spiced-up ingredients would not surprise me from a corporate chain.
I hate food preparation, but buying good stuff, making a bunch so I can just grab one when I leave the house, sometimes works for me.
Yesterday, I took a roast-beef/onion/"Poi-bread" sandwich on a long shopping trip in my cooler witha fruit juice drink. Prolly saved at least $5, and had a better quality lunch.

It's so rare for me to eat anything I didn't make. I can't relate to this at all. But even when I used to eat fast food I always thought subway was a huge bait n switch.

I could have made a "Dagwood" at home for $12.99 hanging off the bread, they didn't even cover
The entire surface of the bread.I shoulda sent Subway a photo. They use to have pre-weighed
Portions making a standard across the chain, this location is definitely a franchise owned
By some thrifty crooks that will put themselves out of business at this rate.

Been in 2-of 'em here. Ever notice the continence of the employees?, tone of voice? Never look at you when they talk to you? Yesterday, I went into our Walmart and Target stores and experienced the same bs. A bit rude. I get it, a customer service job, young low-paid employees, maybe burned-out on dealing with all the different shoppers.
But that was in stark contrast to the people in our Ace Hardware store. It's the big busy one here, that has everything, including hobby stuff. Also, our expensive, but all-inclusive, mom & pop fishing tackle store. These people treat you right, maybe it's an act, but they make you feel valued as customers.

Give 'em a break.  Subway is better than their fry-everything competition.

So you went to Subway and expected anything beyond barely edible.. :o

Don't you have a real deli in your town?

I will say that back when I could still eat bread, I did enjoy theirs. It was baked fresh in house and stale as heck the next day, implying to me, correctly or otherwise, a lack of preservatives.

I only go to two of my friends "roach coaches" and never franchises, they make the best tacos in town. One is closer to my shop, 1/8 of a mile,  and no traffic lights so I usually go there. His brothers truck is 1/2 mile away but 3 lights. Between 11:00 and 14:00 there is always a few people in line.

Never asked about preservatives but I always bloated after their wheat. I knew the manager and asked her what was up & she told me they add MSG to their wheat & seasoned breads. That pretty much ended them for me, but to top it off we've come to the conclusion that our local shop contains the meth-head coalition. 🤢
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

Firehouse seem better to me or Publix,I prefer red tomatoes on my Samiches, Subway will use green tomatoes

I want to ask the"sandwich artist" if they would actually eat the sandwich they made me,it's almost like they have no training or common sense.

Do they really think people like raw green tomatoes :-\ Fried is a different story

Real delis are few & far between in my city, maybe Atlanta has some good ones.Petty's in Longwood ,Fla is great ! Free Beer samples in the seafood section  :d

::) Subway is where you go when you have zero patience to wait on line a lunch time , in and out in 4 minutes .
If you are hungry ,wawa or Publics , but you are going to wait while they build you a sandwich..
