Politely (well, not very, to be honest), if I was interested in the regurgitation of an LLM I would have gone and requested it myself.

Sorry I didn't realize my post was addressed towards you specifically.

You're new enough to the forum that you likely missed the extended discussions about it, but broadly speaking AI-generated content is seen as not adding a lot of value. Some members, like me, are more cynical than others about it.

I like it when members tactfully speak their minds. Have to admit though, if it starts degenerate, it can be downright entertaining.

I've found the best drift while river fishing from the bank, is by letting a reel with the on/off A/R switch, back-spin. I can extend the drift quite a ways down without possibly spooking the fish(usually Salmonids)and maintain a good controlled bounce with a sinker along the bottom. My hand is right close to the handle for a bite(or snag-up🤪). Eventually too much line in the current will ruin the bounce and it's time to recast.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

If we try, I bet we can turn every thread into another discussion of A.I.  I'm all for it.  Us humans have a right to be disgusting too.

At the risk of being pedantic, it's "we humans". Just thought I'd stir the pot a little. But you know what they say, he who stirs the #### pot gets to lick the spoon.

Well when I join a new message board I usually run afoul of someone sooner or later, just doesn't usually happen this quick. I'm not promoting AI in any way and I'm not on chatGPT or whatever it is.....my only interaction is when I Google something the 1st link on the page is usually AI. It has given me some helpful answers I have nothing against it, although I understand that some people do and, apparently some members here are a bit sensitive about it. I do not have a cushy tech job that's in jeopardy I'm a blue collar guy and I'm about 2+ years from retirement, so I don't feel threatened by it. I'm not one to stir the pot so I'll make no further references to it here.

When I'm Striper fishing at Cape Cod I sometimes see guys at the canal doing something similar when using chunk mackerel for bait, however they are using Penn reels with a Live Liner drag which I'm sure you're familiar with. Seems to be an effective method for catching with bait in a moving current.
I don't think any of the reels I fish with have the A/R switch, with the exception of a few Pfluegers mine are all newer ones.
