What is your preference for frame bearings in Bass Casting Reels?

Thanks,

for better casting, i'd recommended a light oil rather than grease.

Alan,

I appreciate the reply but I was referring to FRAME bearings....not SPOOL bearings. I'm currently using Super Lube in my shop but I'm looking to try something new.

Thanks,

Ron

I'd probably use Cal's Drag and Reel Grease and pack the bearings 100% just to keep water out of them. Either tan or purple; I'd use purple due to the lower viscosity.

Measure once, cut twice. Or is it the other way around? ::)

I've used superlube the last 5 years in all my freshwater reels with no problems. Saltwater I use marine grease.
