I have this steelite reel, totally dismantled when I received it,

Yea, but it's a fly reel Don.  How complicated can it be?

Steelite seems like a good brand to collect for you guys down there.

Thanks steeve, there is a cap that screws onto the front of the spool, under this cap, it has a set up that should clip onto the centre pin, there is 2 quare rods, also two springs, that when set up correctly, will work.
      I have been trying to place pictures on this post, I just spent about an hour with Mike Currie trying to help me, he is on the other side of Australia, but he has posted many picture here from time to time, and we still not having any luck, to get the pictures posted, I will take the computer to my sister inlaw, tomorrow, as she set the computer up for us, maybe she will work it out, cheers Don.
