twili tips on leadcore rods

i have a question..... i have 2 10 color setups that i've been running straight off the transom, wondering if i can run these partial (2-8 colors, etc) off the side with twili tips without line damage (broken lead inside) i mostly use these in the spring with a dodger and shiner for lakers or landlocks.
