Can someone recommend a fishing charter operator for a day trip out of punta mita.  Also do you have a guess as to how much this will cost.  Thank you in  advance.

I have no idea this place existed, had to look it up.   Hopefully someone has fished there and can give you some input.  Bill
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

natch!

Thats very close to La Cruz de Huancaxtle, AKA La Cruz. La Cruz has a bigger harbor with many charterers. Alan's pals, the Osuna brothers, run Marlasportfishing from there.

Dhamar Sportfishing (Danny Gomez) is next to Marlas in La Cruz if you want a day trip too.

About 5 years or so ago was at Punta Mita - lovely area.  Quick request with the concierge at the resort and early the next morning a nice center console pulled up in front and a panga picked us up at the beach and shuttled us out.  I do not know what the cost was (I was guest of a vendor) but boat, crew, and provided equipment (Avet and Shimano) were top level and we spent the day cruising the surf line bombing Rapala for roosters, then headed into deeper water chasing bird schools and catching jacks.  Try to inquire at where you are staying; I would not be surprised if they have regular locals operations that they work with.  And the time of year I was there was April.  Good luck! Post a report when you get back! - john
