Shimano Sienna spool/drag?

I have never seen this but I am sure it may have been addressed on other reels.This Shimano Sienna has a skirted spool,when the drag is tightened down all the way (with new braid)the line comes off the spool like it has no drag?

Could the braid slipping or could the spool have split apart somehow?

I rectum I will move the line to another reel to verify what's going on,it's all I can do at this point.

With a Sharpie, draw a straight line across the packed line and onto the spool flange.  Test the drag again to see if the Sharpie line is moving relative to the spool flange.

Yep its just the line moving not the spool, I didn't put backing on it.Most of my dock queens have braid spools,I guess
it needs backing

 Go to post # 22 for spinner reels .    It will not slip when pulled .

I stripped the line off with my drill/pencil method & tied your knot,restrung same line,no slippage!
