Old reel numbers

Does anyone know what reel company started there OLD part numbers with CX. I have a small Ebay store and I bought a big lot of parts 8 or 10 years ago and I haven't been able to cross reference them.

Shimano, Mid-90's, I believe.

Got rid of a couple of large bins of new Shimano parts a few years ago.

Some of the parts were labeled CX.
