Penn 2/0 chrome spool

Hey y'all,
Penn Senator 2/0  29M-85 Chrome spool.
Is this part search a waste of time?
I bought one from the E site that was "new". Box looked good, spool had corrosion.
Return it, keep looking or keep it?

 Long beach 60 spool also fits the 2/0

I would contact seller as I would be disappointed with that spool if it was listed as new. Maybe an oversight or mix up by seller, and they have a new one. If not, I would return and keep looking. Think the 29m-60 was made in stainless too if that matters.
