5 years ago, I was reminiscing with Dominick about his and my Thanksgiving day with family & parents.

And for me, after my Mother baked for dayz, and on Thanksgiving day, while watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade on a 13" black and white screen TV,

Making the turkey for us to enjoy around 2 PM, I remember Mom simmering several turkey necks in a small pot on the stove.

Well, after our 20-minute dinner, us kids headed outside to play football with the neighbors.

And coming back to the kitchen and seeing my parents, both still sitting in their chairs, chewing on the now-cooled turkey neck.  And what I remember the most was the sounds both were making to suck, chew, and shred the meat off the neck bones.  I still remember those sounds like it was yesterday.

Dominick asked if I've eaten Turkey Neck meat??  My answer was NO, that was for Mom & Dad.

His response was, "Let me make you a treat".  And that he did.

Now Dominick will need to inform us of his turkey neck cooking process, BUTT when done, pulling the meat of the bones, and making this fabulous sandwich!!!!

Sandwich bread

Turkey Neck meat

Mayo - HEAVY mayo

Cranberry - should have PLENTY left over

Salt - a good dusting over the meat

Holy Moly!!!!

Man o'man, what a treat!!!!

Highly recommend trying this combo.

BEST I've EVER had!!!!

Never let the skinny guys make the sandwiches!!  NEVER!!!!

That's what I call a phallic Italic. 😂 Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

I dunno wth a phallic italic is, but it sounds funny! Turkey sammiches I prefer over actual T-day sit down grub, and I take the wife's roasting bag, aka my soup bag, and dump in the oyster pot to simmer it all off the bone for turkey noodle soup with a lot of carrots.

Not sure what "mayo" that is, but Imma send you gents some Duke's. None else counts, and make some minner cheese with it too.

It looks good from my house ! Thor,I like the way you talk,mm-hmm (Slingblade)

My wife is from Connecticut & usually chunks the neck bone & giblet bag,but if I get a chance I freeze it for the bait trap. After reading this I am definitely going
to make sure to save the neck bone it sounds great!

My Dad always ate the neck at Thanksgiving (or Christmas) dinner.....and never touched the rest of it. And when it was just a "carcass", he would "pick" at it, 'til Mom made him throw it in the soup pot. I had always thought that "Good Father" that he was, he was letting the rest of the family have all the "prime cuts"....he was that sort of a guy. But later, I discovered he had it right, all along...he was grabbing the "good stuff" before the rest of us had a chance!!
There's nothing wrong with a few "F's" on your record....Food, Fun, Flowers, Fishing, Friends, and Fun....to name just a few !

Gfish

Interesting combo. Especially with the sweet/tart cranberries, combined with mayo. Wonder what stuffing would do for it?
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

Maybe next year there should be a leftover sandwich photo contest, winner gets an all expense paid 1/2-day trip on the Pacifica
