Quang was kind enough to send some bearings so that I could complete an upgrade on this 700C, that I found on Marketplace with the case and rod for $25.  That an $12 of parts got her up and running.

I was looking to upgrade the bushing on the main gear with a bearing which sits inside the side cover.  I was able to easily put the bearing into the cup, but the drive handle shaft OD was slightly larger than the ID of the bearing and wouldn't budge.  Since QT and I both have lathes, I thought I'd use it to take a couple thousands off with a box scrapper.

Now, the reel turns a lot smoother and very effortlessly.  I did a bearing upgrade on a larger Daiwa before, but I really noticed the difference here.

Thanks QT!
