Vintage Mitchell 600 Full Runner electronic spin reel

A new "French" acquisition!
This go around, it's not quite as vintage as my usuals, but still vintage.

Mitchell 600 Full Runner spin reel with electronic bait alarm system.

She came with original box, manual, warranty card, and spare spools.

Unique audio and visual alarm system on spool, that alerts to a bite with an audible beep and red light.

Activate bite alarm by pressing downward on spool, to place spool in freespin mode and set alarm.

When a fish takes bait, spool spins, setting off alarm to alert of a bite.

Rotation of handle, puts spool back in retrieval mode for reeling in of catch.

The flier has a rotating spool drag ring that adjusts the amount of tension it takes to freespin the spool to activate the alarm.

e.g. set higher freespin tension when trolling or using bait fish, which may pull on spool, prematurely tripping alarm.


Pretty dang cool for bank sitting and beer drinkin! No bells needed.

Put some fresh batteries in her and spoolin her up for some crappie action.

Taking her out tomorrow for a virgin test run!
