Omori - Equivalents among brands

Shakespeare- Copies with worm gear/ball bearing

Daiwa-Reels that have worm gear/ball bearing

I've seen some Shakespeare Sigma spinners labeled as Hurricane and I seem to recall some other retailer-specific private label versions. I have to imagine Omori built them but I don't recall ever seeing a reel in the US market at least with any Omori labeling on it.

Shakespeare private labels are easy, there is a thread in the Shakespeare section about that. Daiwa, I wouldn't have a clue. I just look for raised letters on the shell as a sign that Daiwa might have built it.

Ya wanna have some fun, start looking for Herter's reels...they sold private labels from DAM, Point, H-I, no telling who else.
