Hi all,

I recently got my hands on an old but nice condition Accurate SR6 twin drag.
I went to swap the handle from left to right and noticed the handle doesn't wind in as far when screwed in on the right and possibly doesn't seal either.
The backlash also triples when being used on the rhs.
Has anyone experienced this? I have pulled the side plate off so see if something else needs to be turned around but its not obvious.
Everything is nicely seated and sealed when run in the left hand assembly.

Cheers,
Shaun

Shaun - I'm not familiar with that particular model.  However, failing someone hear having experience I will say the Accurate website is pretty thorough with schematics, and their customer service for questions, etc, has always been good in my experience.  Let us know how this works out. - john

Shaun,

I don't know where you live, but beside going through Accurate/Corona, there are certified Accurate repair personnel who have their own businesses who can possibly help you with the issues you have encountered.  Pacific Extreme Sports on 24th Street in Sacramento (916-646-3474) is one of them.  I used to take my Accurates to them for cleaning, servicing, and repairs.

Even tho' the spinning reels are no longer in production and OEM parts may not be available, service pesronnel may be able to help with specific problems you may encounter with older model reels.

Good Luck!
