Do any of you know if the hardware used in a 1981 7000 is the same as a 1971 7000?

By hardware, I'm referring to the u-bracket, carriage bolts, nuts, etc that fasten the reel to the rod blank.

See attached pdfs.

Reason I'm asking: I bought a 1973 7000 reel and it's missing the hardware.  I found a hardware kit for sale online that is for a 1981 7000 (I know this because it comes with the original box) and I assume it's the same but I'd like to know before purchasing it.

Thanks in advance.

Theoretically the latter year clamp kit should work. The screws are M5x0,8 mm
In solid fiberglass we trust

Update: Pure Fishing was able to answer my question.  From their tech line:

975147 Kit: Designed for 7000-7500 series reels, NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEWER 7000i or S Series -- the kit contains:
1 rod clamp
2 bolts
2 hex nuts
2 wing nuts

8919 Kit: Designed for 7000, 9000, 9000C, 10000C, and 10000CA models, this kit includes:
1 rod clamp
2 bolts
2 hex nuts
2 wing nuts
2 brake blocks

The parts are the same, but the part number was changed because it no longer includes a set of brake blocks and has been narrowed down to focus on the 7000-7500 series.

Sounds like an AI answer, and it also sounds like the parts you actually need from it will work.

I have a bunch of Abu 7000 parts, including a bunch of drag kits. I'll see if I have a clamp when I get back to dry land.
Any machine is a smoke machine if you use it wrong enough.

Jason, the response came back in an actual email and the girl listed her name but...who knows...maybe AI.

The parts purchased includes the clamp but I'm curious if you have the early style nuts.  One of the guys I contacted when looking for these parts said he thinks the 1980's wingnuts have a slightly different look than the 1970's style.  If you have a set of early nuts I'd be happy to purchase them.  My OCD will be happy.  :D
