A really inexpensive 600 just arrived today, I will start cleanup this evening. The textured finish on the Pfluegers is harder to keep clan than the shiny paint on the Shakespeares.

I like the restrained look of the gray Pluegers at least equally well as the maroon of the Shakys.

Frank, I like the gray look too, but I also like to wax my reels...brings out the color in the shiny painted reels but would just make a mess on the matte textured gray.
