Funny.  Have to acknowledge humor or it gets lost.  Very clever.  Dominick
Leave the gun.  Take the cannolis.

There are two things I don't like about fishing.  Getting up early in the morning and boats.  The rest of it is fun.

well, the upgrading the handle was already on my - to do list

not sure about the carbontex pads, tho, dont want to go the route of need to upgrade the wheels, then upgrade the fork, but in order to upgrade the fork I need to upgrade the frame first, surely I will need another sadle post and new sadle for the new frame, the factory tires will not fit on the upgraded wheels so, I have to get new tubeless tires, the current rear rack might look ugly on the new setup so, I would need to get a new graphite rear rack, but dont forget to get a new drive train and new Titaniun chain, after upgrading all those parts for the old bike with the left spare parts I have, I might be able to build another bike exactly as the one I had in the beginnin, I THINK I HAVE SEEN THAT MOVIE BEFORE !!  ^-^  >:D

Great Alex!  Now something I have not seen mentioned, and keep in mind I am old enough that I grew up in a time period where such things did not exist, would be to invest in a good helmet.  I know, we are all indestructible.  But a buddy of mine (our age) had an unintended mishap (does anybody go out ever planning to crash?) and the fact he had a helmet meant he walked away with some really nasty abrasions - but he walked away, which is the important thing.
OR - maybe use some AT.com ingenuity and turn a stationary bike into the power source for your rod wrapper/rod dryer?  Pedal while you wrap? (Just kidding!!!!) - john

2nd the helmet recommendation. All the crazy stuff I did long before helmets were a thing when I was a kid, I guess I lucked-out.  Not totally lucky, though, a Flexi got me when I's 6 yrs. old. Turned around to look behind me speeding downhill and knocked myself unconscious on a car bumper. Permanent brain damage? Hmmmm, that might explain a few things...
I bought one new at a bad time in the market during the Pandemic with high demand/low supply prices. Was leery of those fussy derailer gears in the back(5-speed), but so far so good. Got a little tool bag mostly for tire-tube changes. A couple of miles from home sucks with a flat.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

When I was in college, biking to and around campus was a big deal.  That was during to original Japanese "bike explosion" period, although the variety of bikes involved ranged from Japanese Sun Tour equipped Bridgestones, to USA Schwinn, to British Raleighs and an endless list of French Peugeots, Italian and even German bikes. It didn't matter to me then, because I wasn't much into biking and had no money for any kind of bike anywho.  But, after joining the workforce, I got hooked on recreational biking (and had a spouse who shared the passion) and also tearing apart bikes and repairing/rebuilding/maintaining them.  If you think about it, bike rebuilding is a lot like fishing reel R&R-- a lot of disassembly, cleaning, re-lubing and tuning up of mechanical parts.

A couple of years ago, on this AT site, we had a nice set of posts going (I think quang tran started it) and there were posts of a few fishing "bikes" that hauled gear to and from fishing holes.  Still have my old "Mojave Gulch" so-called 'off road" bike, complete with rack and attached "milk crate" as a fishing gear cargo hauler.
