Ended up and splurged $10 more and bought the Berkley.  Now to disasemble the 270 and chuck it in the ultrasonic cleaner.  The bail is a little sluggish to close.  Hopefully a good cleaning and lube will take care of that.

These show discontinued and no longer available as of the mid 60's in the shop service manuals —- but I have a few that I keep in stock.
