Delrin or CF underwashers, both will work.  CF gives you a small increase in drag, delrin a slightly smoother drag.

If you decide to start upgrading I would go with drag stack, gearsleeve and handle first.

I think we all like to upgrade our reels because it is our hobby & like souping up an old hot rod,it give us confidence
In our gear that when moby dick or Jaws bite,we have done all we can
To meet the challenge.

I may start a new thread that may be interesting  & hear some fishing stories to boot.
How many trophy fish have been caught on stock tackle? Alot!
The average joe goes on a charter trip uses the boat's provided
Gear.
Many probably have never opened up a reel or ever cleaned a fish ;D
