 Sweet setup John. That 12/0 is a first gen, and a first year only(1937) with no front harness, and first year only pencil knob. Hard to find in any condition !!

I think outside flats are Bamboo not sure of inside wood.

Very nice rig !   Montague Double built are bamboo over bamboo .    Tycoon`s  "Bimini King" was made with snakewood , hickory and bamboo .

You have nice things John.  The Montague rod is "double built".  The walls of the bamboo culm are inherently not thick enough to make a rod of that diameter, so they use two layers.  It's like building a second rod on top of a typical split bamboo rod.
