What glue to use for carbon fiber drag washers

thanks for the info! it's not likely that i would ever take on another project like that, anyway.  i'm actually trying scale down the reel repair.  but just like michael corleone, they keep dragging me back in....

Yes if there was going to be a failure in the glue bond , that would be the test .  I like the idea on using the cut offs to make segmented drags . Reminds me of some clutches when drag racing 4 speeds gearbox cars . 

Side note , I have had the brake shoes break the bond on the boat trailer .  Fairly new shoes not long enough for saltwater and rust ot pop them off !

Those Mitchell 10xx reels are cool, btw. The funky gear train the drag lever preset thing is pretty unique. Lucky you to find one ratty enough as to allow messing with it uninhibited!

  I was surprised how thin the anodising was compared to  other reel manufacturer .  That pushed me to better preserve .
