Hello people !

Just finished a Shimano Stella SW14000XG-B with a broken rotornut. The rotor "wiggled" and I found out that the aluminum rotornut "wiggled" a little under the rotornut cover. You couldn't tighten or unscrew the nut. It just rotated both ways because of damaged threads. Feels quite weak with a soft aluminum nut on a flagship reel ?

Since I couldn't make any factory torque marks I wonder how much people tighten the nut since it's so soft and with tiny fine threads. Just hard by hand and then a slightest touch with a wrench ?

Best regards!

Maybe a little blue lock-tight to hold it in place?
Do what you can with that you have where you are

ReelClean

I just nip them up, then check the alignment with the lockscrew or cap and tighten to suit.  Haven't stripped one yet...knock, knock...
Specialist Daiwa reel service, including Magseal, MQ series body plates, and every other "improvement" that Daiwa Marketing (sorry... I meant Engineering) Dept comes up with!
