Abu CT Frame Conversion

Does anyone know of source for in the USA for a CT conversion bar? I wan't to modify my reel but can't order any of the parts from UK it seems.

In fact, is there a source anywhere in the US for multiplier reel distance casting mods?

I have done all 6 of my 7000's and a couple xlt style by using an aircooled VW push rod and stainless through bolt hardware.

I leave the top bar on the 7000's so I can easily convert back to levelwind.

Maybe Tom at Cortez will consider making CT conversion bar kits. They're probably not that difficult. There's only a few sizes, and there's 5 decades of reels out there that could fit them.

I have used a piece of small diameter stainless all-thread with a nut on the outside of the head and tail plates and a section of stainless tube between the side plates.

I bought a few from a guy in the states several years ago that's since retired. It was just a stainless bar threaded in the ends with a couple screws. Shouldn't be hard to make, just the proper diameter bar cut to length and tapped on the ends
