I am doing some housekeeping on my hard drives clearing out some space and ran across the attached booklet in pdf format -- maybe someone is interested, so posting it.

I really enjoyed that; sort of quaint but very thorough. Who ever heard of making a casting weight from a Bull Durham pouch?

I read that as well, but since I don't have any recall of Bull Dirham pouches, it didn't resonant with me. I assumed Bull Durman was a tobacco brand like Redman.

I'm not sure how you tie a pouch to your line such that it would rip off if you hooked a fish.

When I was a kid, the tackle shops in Northern California sold these pouches empty.  They were used for bait fishing in the surf on rocky beaches.  I never saw anyone actually using them.

That was a fun read.
