Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Fishing has been tough for the boat.

We spent the first day slow rolling towards the tuna grounds while looking for kelps. We stopped on a few kelps and a couple hooked up on YT but they all broke off.

We made it to the tuna grounds around 9 pm and began looking for schools. We found the first one around 930 and about 5 people hooked up but only 2 were landed.
The next school we found was a little more cooperative and 5 fish were landed including mine.
We looked around until 1230 at night and then called it quits to head south. The plan was to head south and spend the entire next day looking for paddies.
We got to the zone around 9am to start the search. We looked all day and only caught 3 YT and they weren't all that big. Tough trip for everyone.

See you gents in the AM

What is the issue with lost fish, mean fish, wrong gear,  poor technique or shat happens?

Mostly bad technique for a bunch of newbies

The fish weighed in at 115# so add 10% for gills and guts and that makes 125#, a new PB for me!

And we're in line waiting on the boat to get back from getting fuel!

Way to go PJ on your PB: nice fish! Hoping the 4 day will be better for you.

Two rules on the boat
1. Fish where the fish are
2. See rule #1

Well it's the morning after the 1st day and there's a handful of fish in the hold. After an entire night of jigging the group landed 6 bft and popped off 2. The sizes ranged from 40-125#. The weather picked up big time and we were rocking and rolling all night. I think the plan is to head south into MX at some point and try to get out of this weather but we'll see...
