Calcutta 400B Stuck Spool Shaft

Doing a quick service on a "new to me" 400B.  The spool shaft seems to be stuck to the handle sideplate.  I was thinking there might be c clip on the shaft, but all I see is the bearing and maybe some sort of ridge or maybe washer on bearing.  The factory schematic doesn't show anything out of the ordinary from the 400A series.  Any thoughts?

Got it!  A bit of Corrosion X and persuasion with hardwood dowel along with a few love taps and she's free. Corrosion on the shaft along the bearing retainer.

it was likely stuck to the pinion gear.
