Actually quite a few around in the vintage days, and some more lately in the last 40-50 years.

Couple that come to mind are the DAM Quick 250 Standards and the SW68's.

And then of course, the ABU/Zebco Cardinals with the the fulcrum drags.

And a few others.

 :)  learned something new , I assume they are fine wire springs verses heavier wire spring to pull the bail over .
