Is your eccentric lever on your Fathom a little loose?

This is my son's. I don't fish it. A while back I replaced the Eccentric with the new improved version.
Then the lever came loose from its shaft and I just put in a new one. It works well enough but it seems that There should be a thicker washer or bushing.

That screw is notorious for coming loose. You need to cock the spool back up bit before putting it in free spool, especially if there's pressure on the line. Takes some getting used to, I've had to tighten mine up a couple times. Love the reel though

I just installed the new lever and the screw is tight. Should the lever be loose by design? Maybe I need a new washer and bushing (26 and 26A) to match the new eccentric and lever?

I don't think you need anything, just a quirk of this particular reel, for some reason the screw backs off if there's tension on the line when you put it in free spool. Especially true if you're pulling on a snag and flip it out of gear. Back off the spool with your thumb about a quarter inch and it won't happen
