Hello everyone, Go by Lloyd. I live outside of Houston. fish the Galveston Bay complex and beach front. btw, trout are thick in the surf right now. Looking forward to learning and sharing. I have serviced my own reels for a long time. I clean reels for friends. I'm 62 and want to do this to keep me occupied when I hang it up.

Welcome PLloyd I m from Houston also . Very seldom fish Galveston ,fish the pier once in a while when friend call that smash come . I mostly fish Corpus Christi area , we may meet when I get strong enough to fish again

Welcome from a bit further down the gulf coast. We don't see as many trout in the surf down here, but find a ton of them inshore.

Howdy. I lived in Houston for 20+ years (the second time), now living outside of Dallas. Fished all over Galveston but for many years mainly concentrate on offshore. The boat I like to fish has also moved to Freeport. Got tuna trips lined up in Aug and Nov so far, weather permitting. I service my own reels (mostly) and have for many, many years. Got some new SPJ setups I'm dying to try.
