Steelcase, Art Metal and others really took it on the chin when the world went paperless.  I have a Steelcase four-drawer that is still full of papers.  Wish it would just disappear.  Remington Tand had some beautiful hardwood library card catalog files.  I think Sal had an old card catalog file cabinet.

Yeah, I've got an all original Remington Rand 20 drawer wood card file cabinet with wood pulls. It was my dad's & he had it for 70 + years, got it long before they became valuable. I've been offered pretty big bucks for that thing. Got it out in my shed full of small hand tools, hardware, etc. Love that cabinet.
Love those open face spinning reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco Cardinals)

Not quite- Sal had card catalog cabinets FULL of Penn parts, like 29L-100 spools. RIP, good buddy!

In the outer shops, both upstairs and downstairs, I have a few of the filing cabinets that are very useful for storage and organization.

These are pretty inexpensive as used pieces.  Readily available at thrift shops, and office supply surplus, plus CL & FB Marketplace —- for cheap.

These two 3 drawer file cabinets are now a storage place for electrical components.

Also picked up a couple of 60 drawer library organizers from the college when they upgraded.  Each weighs possibly 400 lbs?  They are super handy for some of the surplus parts that are too few used —- but that still need to be readily accessible when needed.  Got these over 25 years ago.  When Sal saw them, he immediately got some for himself.

And when I removed the SS rods from the Library drawers —- they made the best Snish-Kabob skewers ever.  Never wear out, and heat the SKB from the inside out!

Best, Fred
