D-A-M Ocean 4040

Hello,

I just acquired a D-A-M Ocean 4040, The real is in near mint condition. I can't see any real evidence that it's been fished. No box or papers though. Most comparisons online say it's the size of a Penn Senator 6/0. I can't get to mine right now to compare it. Some folks online suggest it was made by Penn also. The bottom of the foot of the real says "Made in Western Germany". Does anyone have any real concrete information about any of this and also does anyone have a schematic and/or copy of a manual? I will probably never fish this due to the fact that I don't go offshore anymore. I might want to try it off of the one of the piers in the Gulf though.

Thanks OMJ. I did see that and wish I could get to those pages. On my old laptop I had a site bookmarked in German that had I bunch of info on DAMs. It could have been that site. A spilled glass of water killed that laptop though. I paid $40.00 for this reel delivered to my house. I think I did pretty good.
