Bretton 600 bailless & 104

Not sure where to post this as there's a plethora of threads and categories.

I have acquired several poles and a few reels recently. Both these Brettons are part of the collection. I saw on here another 104 that a person glued a dime on for a badge. I may do the same if I can't find the medallion. What glue is safe to use to adhere the coin?

The 600 is in working order I just have no idea why I can't find much on either reel? Did they get trashed over the years or was not many around to begin with OR are y'all hiding them like these two were?

Anywho I have rods too from house or hardy(England) to Rich makes(Canada) and several in between..

Bretton started out in 1874 in Cluses, France manufacturing clock gears. They came out with their first spinning reel, the 602, in 1952. At one point it was claimed that for many years they were only second to Mitchell of France in total sales. They were imported by Ocean City in Philly, and later Martin of Mohawk, NY. They were later rebranded as Bretton International. Bretton remained in business until 1992.

The 104 is from about 1972. The semi-closed faced under rod 600 is also from the early 1970s.

Not sure about the glue. I'd wire brush the coin and reel spot before applying the adhesive.

Thanks, I assume my step father must have got them through a friend that owned a tackle shop in Louisiana way back in the day. All this stuff sat in moms garage for 50 years and I rescued it recently as the garage was spared after the house burned last year..
