Wanted to Thank Drstr8razor (Rob) —-

For purchasing the group of reels for me for the estate sale.

The Penn 9/0 is rough looking —- but functions as smoothly as new, with a rare crank knob.

The 114H 6/0 appears new, also a unique crank knob.

The two 112H's (3/0) seem nearly new, and both have aluminum spools with Newell stands, clamps, and wide bars.

The tiny Penn 109 is missing the levelwind guide and pawl, but it functions perfectly, and I have the parts needed.  This is an OLD reel with the early double crank handle —- with perfect knobs, Bakelite spool.

The ABU Ambassdeur 4600C is the narrow high speed model made in Sweden, works perfectly, and has only one tiny rub on top.  No scratches.

Thanks again, for getting all of these.

Some folks will be happy when these are offered at the next sale down the hill at the roundabout.  Maybe a week from now.

You're welcome, I know next to nothing about the handles or the reels. The 114H I kept I opened the clicker side and I don't think it was ever used.

There's a story or lots of stories behind those reels, specifically the man that I bought them from. My wife and I have spent the last two weekends at his house with him and his wife. I'm pretty sure the black 9 his wife pulled in a 500lb marlin with way back in the day down in south(pacific)America. Now the man himself used to live in Southern California, worked as a camera man on several sets, gun smoke, bonanza, Charlie's Angels etc etc. Very avid fisherman and game hunter. He's up there in years now but has endless stories of his life experiences and is just a great person. We were out there yesterday and his little shop in his garage was where we did some trigger work on a few of my rifles.

I found a great friend when I went to buy those reels and I feel I have found another great friend when I shipped them your way..
