Greg
Have you tried it on painted parts?
AI on internet states:

Painted or Varnished Surfaces: It dissolves paint and lacquers, leaving dull spots or uneven color.

Thanks!

Ok. I've never noticed any finish/surface damage, but I usually use it for surface prep. My favorite way to keep track of line on various reels is Iso.-al.wipe, Perm. Marker, cover with Scotch tape.
Fishing tackle is an art form and all fish caught on the right tackle are"Gfish"!

I gave it a try Greg but Daiwa seems to have impenetrable glue.
Thanks!

It's back together and working well.
New body, new spool, new bail did not fit. Working that out with the seller.
I will keep an eye out for the rotor, bail, side cover and crank handle, but that's just cosmetics.
It'll fish.
