CATCH-ALL

Long time, no sea. Alan, I am glad to see things are going well here.

Q: I have a Shimano Baitrunner spinning reel; 3500B. It needs a new Bail Assembly, P/N #7440. But I cannot find anywhere that I can order it online. Any ideas?

The bail wire has pulled out of the end of the bail assembly where the Line Roller (#5910) is located. I reckon I could $hit-rig it and shove the bail wire back in there with an epoxy like JB Weld. But I would rather do it right. I bought the reel approx 20 yrs ago back sometime during the Aughts and otherwise it's still operating well.

Any help is much appreciated.

IIRC it's metal?  Find someone that can do fine laser welding.  I had a local eyeglass frame repair shop weld up an ABU 6000 frame onto the foot and it was a perfect repair.
