The line spooler come in today . I take a reel with old 4 lbs test ,transfer line to a small empty spool then reel it back with Piscifun line spooler . It works to remove line twist , also help to keep line laying flat in spool ,don't shot out with out holding with rubber band . The trick is keep tension tight and for large spool I think we need an  extension between the handle and spool yoke as Ohreely said .
I learn the trick to stretch line to remove line twist from Dan Garpen ,an outdoor writer for Midwest Outdoor about 30 years ago , I only stretch 30 feet just enough so when I drop my jig ,the jig won't spin around

I do something similar to what jtwiil does if the line on a reel gets a little twisty. I put a loop of line around a post or tree. Tie a swivel to the end of the line on the reel, clip the swivel on the loop I put around the post, loosen the drag and walk the rod and reel out at least as far as I know I can cast it. Then I tighten the drag enough so I can reel it in without stretching the line as I walk it back. Seems to work.
