Wayne, now you can order a home sleep study kit. It arrives in the mail and has a monitor with three electrodes.  Then it's evaluated, and you do an on-line consultation.  You can then get a SA diagnosis and prescription for a CPAP or one of those new gizmos without hose or mask. 

Unlike Alan, I can't sleep anywhere or any time I want.  Would never be able to sleep in one of those clinical sleep studies.  Watch some of the videos on-line.  It looks miserable.

that is exactly what I will be doing, other than the online consultation.  My Doc wants his RN's to set me up and explain how to use it so there is little mess up on my behalf.

I too can't sleep just anywhere.  I'm a BAT and sleep best in a bat cave.
