First spinning reel I've had without A/R. Also first one without old dried grease... or ANY grease. Interesting nonetheless. Everything is simple. The pinion is attached to the rotor, notice the brass gear but steel sleeves. Between the blue nylon washers there's a steel washer with ball bearings. I didn't want to disassemble it for fear the washers would break or the ball bearings would fall out. Everything is very tight.

Neat old reel! There are quite a few variations of that reel by JW Young & Sons, including the Herter's Rolls.
