Nice to meet everyone!  I started collecting reels recently and have built a good sized collection of fly reels and some big game saltwater reels. Fascinated by Fin-Nor right now, so adding those as I can...

Hi.
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

Fin-Nors are tough in every way, but I stumbled on them when I found a Fin-Nor 2.5/0 in a Nep-Tuna cradle rod at auction from an auctioneer who had no idea what he had.... Now I'm trying to compile as much history on Fin-Nor as I can while collecting the older reels...may never find another Nep-tuna/Fin-Nor combination as far as I can tell, but the search is half the fun!

Welcome!  Swampscott is one of those names I can't hear without a wicked heavy accent.  We visited Glouchester at the end of summer and really enjoyed it. So much character in those towns, especially the coastal ones. Gulf of Maine fishing is great!
And you know that you're over the hill,
When your mind makes a promise that your body can't fill,
Doin' the old folks boogie and boogie we will,
'Cause to us the thought is as good as a thrill...
