commonskate fishing up scotland

ive just returned from a short fishing trip up scotland  over the three days we caught skate from 3lbs to 225lbs

These large  Common Skate are usually tagged and released as they are on the endangered species list over here. The smaller Thornback Rays are eaten in the UK.

Hi Wallacewt  id love to maybe when i retire  only thing is id not want to come back to England  tight-lines Alain    ive a few more pictures of our ventures up Scotland    this guy Steve is from Texas  i met on a fishing forum in England   he came up to fish for common skate   




i bloody hate these   conger eels not a bit fish  but i dont like them and i get my mate Rab to unhook them



a small tope   mini shark that can grow to  80lbs this is nearer 30lbs


a friends boat landing a good female common skate

just having a blast to the fishing grounds

just put the anchor down and waiting for the boat to rest and skate  fishing in over 600ft of water
    ill up date the pictures in a few months time  until then tightlines Alain
