in down under terms i think your right justin,
also what happened on saturday i had 30lb braid
and 80lb ygk leader.10lb drag.hooked my best fish
for the 2 days and had a real good battle,20 min;later,
zilch!whaaa.when i inspected,the leader had not broke
at the knot or cut on a rock etc; it had streched like a piece of chewing gum
and given away, it was tapered.

Love those snappers.  We call them Tai.  It's great sashimi, and also for shabu.  Have you heard of shabu shabu?  It uses Kobe beef, cut thin, and dunked in boiling water, dipped in a citris soy sauce and eaten. Tai Shabu is the same except Tai replaces Kobe beef.  Believe it or not, cut the dish cost more than Kobe beef.  I'm getting hungry.
