I was wondering if anyone has had any luck finding a reel clamp for the Calcutta 400TE?. Short of the new $60.00 Daiwa clamp, (which I haven't seen yet), what options do I have? There's gotta be something other than zip ties and duct tape..  :)

Thanks Mel, but I tried the Tiburon at Bob Sands and it wouldn't fit on the TE. Good to go for the other Calcutta's though..

I'm really surprised Shimano would make the decision to NOT offer a reel clamp for a high ticket item like the TE. Not only do I prefer deckhand style rods, but on open public boats, a clamp is a little insurance from those who would steal your beloved gear.

sorry, been away for a while.  i would normally not use a clamp for this reel.  it's not needed.  did a quick check and could not even find one.
send me an email at alantani@yahoo.com for questions!
